Davis Park Community Recreation, Arts & Beautification, Inc. (CRAB) is a 501(c)(3)tax exempt organization formed by community volunteers to attract tax deductible contributions to fund recreational, artistic and beautification efforts in the Davis Park/Ocean Ridge community. CRAB encourages local artists to donate works and participate in its fund-raising and beautification activities.

Working with the Davis Park Association (DPA), CRAB plans to sponsor efforts to beautify the community and enhance recreational facilities, including community gardens, playgrounds and athletic facilities. CRAB's efforts will be funded through tax deductible donations and other fund-raising activities. We appreciate your support!

2022 Update from DP CRAB (Community, Recreation, Arts & Beautification) 

 

Bringing our beach community together for the purposes of beautifying our community and adding different aspects of arts and recreation for everybody to enjoy. We hope you like the work CRAB is doing around the community, including our geranium sale, plantings in the park and at the Post Office and wagon plaza, and banners and lighting along Trustees Walk.

A MESSAGE FROM: LORRAINE FOLEY, PRESIDENT, DAVIS PARK COMMUNITY RECREATION, ARTS & BEAUTIFICATION, INC. (CRAB)

CRAB was hard at work this week doing some spring cleaning and planting new gardens; see images below.
A great big thank you to Mike and Nikki Dougherty, Guiermo, Neil Robinson and his grandson Joe Kubicki and to Val Letton for putting a fresh coat of paint on the  buoys. 

Thanks also to the Town Parks Department for our annual budget which CRAB puts to good use.

CRAB PROJECT: Rock Garden

Many thanks from CRAB (Community Recreation Arts & Beautification) and The DPA to the Town Parks Department for our plant budget, which was put to good use in our Rock Garden (corner of Trustees & Center-- see pix) and New Park area.

Thanks also to:

  • DP Ferry and crew for transport
  • Eric Lemery for fence and wood chips
  • Mike Dougherty and Neil Robinson for sweat equity (and Mike for crew and supplies)

2019 Accomplishments

 

  • Continued progress on the Park area with the addition of more Russian Sage, Beach Grass, Chips, Landscape Lighting and Fencing 

  • Beautiful planters cleaned and filled with flowers throughout the Marina and Trustees Walk

  • Posters by our Local Artists

  • A revamped and organized bulletin board

  • A new rock garden with beach grass planted on the corner of Trustees & Center Walks

  • Two successful plant sales

  • Two fund-raising events including an afternoon at the church for a Paint-n-Sip with complimentary wine and cheese and a Corn Hole Tournament held at the Casino in the early fall. A great time was had by all at both events.
